Terms of Service

1. The service

StockVial helps labs keep track of reagents and supplies, write purchase requests and orders, inspect deliveries, and prepare purchase records and chemical inventory lists for EHS.

2. Accounts and labs

An account belongs to one lab. Admins are responsible for inviting and removing members and for the lab's settings. You are responsible for keeping your account details safe and for what is done with your account.

3. Ownership of data

The rights to the data a lab enters or uploads stay with the lab. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Plans and payment

There are Free, Lab and Enterprise plans; limits and prices are as shown on the pricing table. Paid plans are paid through Stripe. If you cancel, you can use the plan until the paid period ends, and for 90 days after that the lab can still view and download its data. Changing plans follows the rules shown in the subscription screen.

5. Photo storage and record keeping

If a lab chooses to keep photos on its own computer, the original delivery-note photos remain only on that computer. Research-fund settlement records usually must be kept for 5 years, and keeping them is the lab's responsibility.

6. Limits of automatic reading

Automatic reading of photos can be wrong. You must check the content before registering it, and you are responsible for results that come from content you did not check.

7. What is not allowed

Trying to reach other users' data, disturbing the normal running of the service, and using it for unlawful purposes are not allowed.

8. No warranty and limit of liability

The service is provided as it is and, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage. Safety decisions (storing or disposing of reagents and so on) must follow your own and your institution's rules. [Scope of the limit — to be confirmed in legal review.]
